WhatsApp’s latest updates

On Tuesday (September 13 2016), the free messaging app, WhatsApp, installed a number of updates to service both Android and Apple iOS users.

The instant messenger that is used by over 1 billion people in over 180 countries offers simple, secure, and reliable messaging and calling.

The update that’s got every talking is that iOS 10 users can make use of Siri to send WhatsApp messages without having to type a single letter.

Want to know what else is new on WhatsApp’s latest version 2.16.10? Take a look at the changes below:

• When sharing or forwarding messages, you can now send to multiple chats at once
• Chats you frequently contact now appear when forwarding or sharing messages
• When taking photos or videos, double tap your screen to switch between the front and rear cameras (iOS)
• While recording videos, you can now slide your finger up or down to zoom in and out (Android).
• A new front-facing flash helps you capture selfies in the dark (Android)
• iOS users make use of the new quick forward button on photos and videos in chats.
• There’s a new widget that lets you quickly jump to a recent chat or see which chats have unread messages (iOS 10+)
• (As stated above) If you’re an iPhone user, ask Siri to send WhatsApp messages or place WhatsApp calls (iOS 10+)
