For the month of April, JustMoney ran a survey about the financial impact the nationwide lockdown has had on our readers. More than 2,000 participants shared their experiences with us by answering twelve questions about their personal finance.
Among other things, the survey established that participants were predominantly employees who earned less than R10,000 per month. They made an effort to stay on top of their finances and more than half of participants set out a monthly budget.
We learned that over 70% of participants saw a change in their family earnings. In spite of this, less than 30% are considering a payment holiday. Understandably, nearly 80% of respondents are concerned about their financial situation and the majority cannot afford an emergency payment of over R5,000.
Let us help you keep your finances in order during this challenging time. At JustMoney we aim to educate and inform you on how to best manage your personal finances. Have a look at our news section for the latest articles, or use our calculators to work out your unique taxes or budget.
